MedpageToday

Presentation

A 33-year-old woman went to the doctor after noticing painful lumps on her legs that had developed over the past few days, some of which had begun to drain pus. The patient had a history of type 2 diabetes mellitus. There was no preceding trauma, and she was otherwise feeling well. On examination, she was afebrile. There were scattered tender nodules, some with purulent drainage seen over the legs.
